I recently had this profound experience on a San Pedro solar rotation ceremony. I found myself in a running dialogue with a Hare. The Hare only 40 meters away didn't move, he just looked up at me and we shared a magical moment.
What did the Hare have to say?
He had something very important to tell me and it is something that made an instant change in my behaviour and continues to do so. For those that have been on my recent retreat this will not be anything new to you.
There I squat in the woods beneath a tree, writing pages of notes towards my book, thoughts flowing fast from the most crystal clear mind that is free. My physiology taking the medicine provided by the Shaman and using it appropriately for the self correcting work, my jaw in particular feeling rather funky.
Everything I see is presented in such High definition. I have that real sense of one consciousness. I had such strong messages of non judgment when listening to a pair of magpies attacking a hawk. Listening to the birds fighting it out I have this profound moment and I come to the conclusion that I can't have a favourite or favour the outcome. If we are all "one" then surely there should be no favourites.
I hear you, slightly off on a tangent, what about the Hare?
Well some time ago we switched to only eating offal. The offal we now choose to eat, to avoid toxins, is either grass fed or from wild meats.
I bought a Hare from our local farm shop and was really surprised, considering the size of the animal, how big its heart, liver and kidneys were.

And of course what do you do with this really important life changing, inspirational information, yep! You post images up on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, that's what!
The Hare decides to put me in my place with these words of wisdom.
"It's ok for you to eat my brothers and sisters. But it's not ok for you to post images all over social media of their heart. That is just disrespectful!"

I acknowledge this fine wise animal with a nod of appreciation, he then just upped and left. Our teachers and tribal elders
are everywhere, and come in all forms. What we need is a clear mind, free from the cloud of doubt, fear and worry. Without the cloud we can listen to the lessons of love, on this occasion it was the Hare, the next who knows, but one thing is for sure, I am listening.
Are you Listening?
